Our athletes are not defined by their physical disabilities; instead they experience the game of hockey as equals, on and off the ice.
More Than a Game
Sled hockey develops skills on and off the ice that builds a foundation for a lifetime of success. Sled hockey promotes confidence, pride, focus and responsibility. With an emphasis on fun, sled hockey is a game to be played and enjoyed for life.
LIFE-LONG FRIENDS
In many sports, having a disability can separate individuals. Sled hockey starts with a bond created in the locker room to the relationship formed on the ice, sled hockey creates lifelong friendships. This camaraderie shared both on and off the ice encourages teamwork and the natural development of leadership skills.
SET UP FOR SUCCESS
From learning to balance responsibilities at home, school, and the rink – sled hockey encourages kids to learn time management skills. Sled hockey’s unique source of physical fitness promotes the natural physical therapy and a healthy lifestyle.
Mission Statement
Deliver an inclusive opportunity for children with physical disabilities or able-bodied children with a desire to play a non-traditional form of hockey. Sled hockey is a fun way to stay physically active while building confidence and self- esteem through teamwork and competition.
The Game

SLED HOCKEY
Is an adaptive means allowing an individual with physical disabilities to participate in an exciting game of hockey.

STICK HANDLING
Is perhaps the most difficult of the fundamental skills to master. In sled hockey, players use two sticks and both hands to maneuver around the ice, puck handle, pass and shoot.

PASSING
Is what makes sled hockey a true team sport. Helping teammates experience success is what the game is all about and passing allows the thrill of scoring to be shared.

SHOOTING
Is the end result of an offensive team play. Many players spend most of their time practicing shooting because they believe scoring is the most fun. Players should, however, place an equal emphasis on the other basic skills of sled hockey, as they are all important in developing the complete player.
